Fame by Andy Warhol
"Legendary pop artist Andy Warhol shares vignettes and aphorisms on love, fame and beauty. They're short and snappy - some only a sentence or two - and there's a lot of truth and 'oh yeah, I've never thought of that' moments throughout. While the synopsis of the book declares it to be 'hilarious', I didn't find it to be so. However I did enjoy reading it, especially the section on fame and his thoughts on both the wonderful aspects for being a celebrity and those that are deemed by him to be ridiculous." - AnjaliNotes on 'Camp' by Susan Sontag
"Rather appropriate considering this year's Met Gala theme! I really loved the breakdown of the social, political, and historical origins of 'camp' as a fashion trend but a whole philosophy and lifestyle. Highly recommend - especially if you had no idea why Lady Gaga rocked up in four different outfits on the Met Gala red carpet." - Ria
